Chanaka Fernando is the head chef and he is a multitalented individual. He grew up in Sri Lanka and from an early age started to get involved in his family catering business. He studied at a hotel school in Colombo and, at the age of 19, moved to London to join his UK-based family. He continued his studies in London, earning NVQ Level 2 and 3 from the Hackney Asian and Oriental School of Catering. Chanaka worked his way up the chef ladder by working under such celebrity chefs as Gordon Ramsay, Marcus Wareing, Mark Hix, Allan Williams, Lee Barnet, Lee Streeton, Andy Rose, and Sujan Sarkar. He has worked in a number of London’s top Michelin-starred restaurants and in catering for City-based corporates and private jet companies.
